Starting the Relationship: Foundations for Young Horses
This two day clinic is designed to give young horses a good start in their handling and in their relationship with people. It is not a colt starting clinic. It's a chance to build the foundation that sets your colt up for success now and down the road. The clinic is open to young horses from weanling age up to 18 months old.
Every colt arrives with a different personality, history, and amount of handling. That's why Robbie spends the first half of day one with each colt individually, assessing where it currently is. This gives him a clear picture of what each young horse needs, so the rest of the clinic fits the horse in front of you instead of following a set routine.
In the afternoon and throughout day two, owners take over the handling with Robbie's guidance. You'll learn to build trust, respect, and understanding through calm, consistent handling while helping your colt meet new surroundings with confidence. Much of the work is on the human side: how you approach, when you release, and how clearly you ask. When you get clearer, your young horse doesn't have to guess.

Facility Fee: $20 per day (paid to facility at arrival)
Stall Fee: $30 per day (paid to facility at arrival)
Bring your own shavings. Stall stripping is required before you leave; you can take care of it yourself or have the facility handle it for a $20 fee.
Camping: You may camp in your trailer in the parking lot. No electric hookups available.

1. Complete Registration
Provide participant details and make a payment.
2. Sign Liability Release
Complete and sign the RPH liability release form.
3. Receive Confirmation
You'll receive a confirmation email and text.

What is your clinic cancellation policy?
We understand that plans change. Here's how clinic cancellations work:
- 30 or more days before the clinic: Full refund, minus the deposit (non-refundable).
- 8 to 29 days before the clinic: 75% refund of the remaining balance. The deposit is non-refundable.
- 7 days or less before the clinic: No refund available.
To cancel, please contact your clinic host.
When are clinic fees due?
A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of registration to secure your spot. The remaining balance is due 30 days before the clinic. You will receive an email with an invoice for the remaining balance 45 days prior to the clinic date.
How do I pay my remaining balance?
We’ll send you an email and text 45 days prior to the clinic with a link to complete your remaining payment.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, if you’d like to discuss getting on a payment plan for a clinic, please contact us.
Are there any additional fees involved?
Yes, additional fees may apply, including facility fees, stall fees, camping fees, or audit fees. These are paid directly to the clinic host upon arrival.
